María Peralta inspirerte oss

Rotary Club of Harstad has been fortunate to host a visit from Mexican María José Macías Peralta for three days. Maria (25), who is a trained lawyer, has participated in Rotary's "New Generations Service Exchange" program, during which she spent the last two months with Stord Rotary Club and worked at Aker Solutions in Stord. Maria’s greatest wish was to see the Northern Lights, but it rained the entire time, and the Northern Lights activity was low. To make up for it, at the club meeting on October 22, she was given a book of Northern Lights photos and a special Northern Lights t-shirt. Thanks to everyone who contributed during these three days and to Stord Rotary Club for arranging the trip to Harstad. We truly grew so fond of Maria during these three days and really hope she’ll come back to Harstad someday!
